Purpose:
The purpose of this organization is to get girls interested in STEM in the next 4 to 5 years. We have to introduce girls to stem at a young age and encourage them.
Goal:
The main goal is to influence girls aged 11 through 19 in the state of Colorado to pursue STEM education and STEM careers to alleviate the tremendous shortage of women in STEM fields. There are 2.4 million job openings in STEM fields that are currently unfilled because of shortage of workers. In Colorado, this shortage is so severe, that local companies are moving offshore to places like India and Eastern Europe to find engineers. We need more of our young girls to get interested in STEM fields.
