GSA is working with technology companies and the Colorado state government to identify apprenticeship opportunities so that girl students can work as an apprentice in STEM fields. Apprenticeship programs will educate young girls and will also provide them with the opportunity to work with industry professionals. GSA will provide contacts and resources on available apprenticeship opportunities. In short, working in an industry will allow girls to try out what a STEM job entails and get them interested in it.
We plan on following the Swiss-style apprenticeship where:
- 70% of students work in apprenticeship with companies.
- Starts at age 15, for 2-4 years.
- Gain hands-on experience.
